Calculation and construction of transport equipment

Construction and calculation

Finite Element Analysis / Finite Element Method is one of the company’s core areas. We use ANSYS, COSMOS and Pro / MECHANICA when we perform a FEM simulation. ANSYS is the preferred tool in which we alternate between APDL scripts and the Workbench method according to the nature of the project. FEM simulation is an effective tool for reducing the cost of product development. We use FEM simulation for topology optimization, which is optimization in relation to material selection, material consumption, weight and geometry as well as for strength calculations of everything from individual items to large constructions. FEM simulation is also used to calculate the natural frequency for different orders. Furthermore, it is a good tool for thermal simulations, which has its practical application at e.g. heat distribution and cooling calculation. We meet our customers’ high requirements regarding reporting, documentation and compliance with specified quality procedures.

Construction and calculation of transport equipment

The requirements for transport equipment for wind turbine components increase as the turbines become larger and transported further away. The solutions must be cost-effective and meet all safety requirements. the timelime is usually short for developing transport equipment. Therefore, it is advantageous to get the solutions as universal as possible. This way development time of the equipment for the specific product will be short, and all calculation documents are in place immediately.
